Are you hungry for Denny’s?

The iconic American diner opens its first restaurant in the Philippines tomorrow. And for its Filipino fans, it means that they can now have the Original Grand Slam (a stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes, crisp bacon, sausages and two eggs) fix 24/7.

Situated at Uptown Parade in the bustling Bonifacio Global City, Denny's promises a slammin' good time with friends and family from day to night, seven days a week.

Denny’s  is a place with a hip and fun vibe where you step right up to the counter and order  the Breakfast Skillet (bacon and sausage topped with freshly made pico de gallo over pilaf rice served with sriracha sauce) for dinner, or the slow-cooked Pot Roast for breakfast — without being judged. The menu is "breakfast all day," but it also boasts steaks, burgers, sandwiches, skillet salads,  nachos, even well-loved Filipino comfort food such as arroz caldo, bistek Tagalog, pork chops, and Lucban longganisa.

“What we also like about Denny's is that the principals listen to their partners. When we asked them if we could introduce these Filipino dishes, they readily agreed. They respect the fact that we know the market better," disclosed Paul Manuud, chief operating officer, The Bistro Group, who admitted that Bistro wasn't the first company which showed interest in the brand.

"Well, there could only be one winner — and that's the Bistro Group," he said with an impish grin. "Seriously, I guess Bistro's track record speaks for itself."

Denny's, Always Open 24/7

"We're as excited as the horde of Filipino diners who would definitely make a beeline when Denny's opens its doors tomorrow. We're also positive that the restaurant would resonate well with Filipinos. And the location is perfect," shared Paul. Although he admitted that having a diner that's open 24 hours a day could be a challenge, they decided to give it a try. “After all, Denny’s tagline is 'Always Open 24/7.’”

As a company, one of The Bistro Group's strengths is being able to discern what the market is craving for.  They look at it not just from a business perspective, but also from a customer's point of view. "We study the market. We've witnessed Filipinos' evolving tastes and sophistication when it comes to food. And based on the survey's we've conducted, people (who have or haven't been to the US) look forward to Denny's," added Paul.  In fact, Denny’s will open a second branch very soon in Vista Mall, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
